Hacktivist Collective known as Anonymous had a busier weekend than most people did this past weekend. At the start of the weekend it was released that the collective had breached and compromised systems responsible for controlling all un manned Russian attack drones and vehicles delivering an absolutely devastating blow to Russia in the War against Ukraine and the Cyber War against Anonymous which is of direct result of the Russia Ukraine War.
It was within minutes Make A Difference began seeing images of Industrial and Military facilities located within Russian boarders, being burned to the ground by gigantic explosions and/or flames. It is however worth noting, Make A Difference is unable to verify if these fires and explosions are directly. However we did feel it was important to add considering multiple known Anonymous profiles have shared similar images with similar messages as the above while majority of posts looked like the below.
Alongside with this immense achievement Anonymous has had numerous other notable successes this weekend! Begining with a data leak of 7,000 Russian emails Anonymous launched a mass scale information leak that continued throughout the weekend.
This mass scale information leak also included a giant hacker leak of 759 GB of data amounting to over a MILLION emails and files from a Russian IT company that specializes in security as well as processing and protecting Russian State secrets. Simply slicing through firewalls and Russian hackers, once formerly known as the worlds elite cyber forces.
If you thought Anonymous was done here for the weekend, we have some news for you to show otherwise. While Anonymous helps immensely on the warfront they are also helping on the international front. The collective has hacked cameras across the country of Ukraine maintaining their ever watchful eyes fixated on documenting evidence of Russia committing despicable war crimes, and forwarding the evidence to the International Criminal Court. Lets just hope that they hold on to those files incase the Court chooses to ignore them like they have done so in the past.
Anonymous is going to be having a very busy week and therefore so are we! This experience having the opportunity to cover Anonymous and highlight their success and the good work they do, is quicky amounting to one of the most impactful and important awareness projects Make A Difference has been involved with. This will be my greatest honor to continue to bring you this amazing news coverage of these amazing people.
Always remember to not just Make A Difference but Become that Difference.
